The WAVBC Committee hosted the first WAVBC Social Networking Evening for 2024 at the Terrarium Bar in Perth on Wednesday night. The evening was well attended, and our members and friends were given an update of some of the key appointments and activities that have taken place already this year. They included:
· Appointment of Naomi Campbell as WAVBC Partnerships & Marketing Manager
· Appointment of Tuan Viet Nguyen – Our second WAVBC HCMC Ambassador….

Whilst in Margaret River for the Emergence Creative I took the opportunity to take Binh Ho Thai (WAVBC Ho Chi Minh City Ambassador) to visit Rob Currell the Cellar Door Manager of Juniper Wines.
It was a very timely visit as recently our WAVBC member and WA wine exporter Bruce Cussen recently spent time in Vietnam working with ‘Wine Australia’ to start the process of promoting West Australian wines in a growing market where existing trade agreements will experience a reduction in wine tariffs by 2028.

Today in Ho Chi Minh City a ‘Cooperation Agreement’ was signed between the WAVBC and the Vietnam Business Club ASEAN Global (VNAG). With VNAG having over 2,000 members in Vietnam this now provides a great opportunity for the WAVBC to extend its B2B networks into Vietnam whilst also adding value to the WAVBC membership.
