In November 2020, the WA Vietnam Business Council (WAVBC) formed a subcommittee called the ‘WA Vietnam Community Group’ (WAVCG) to assist with one of the WAVBC key objectives evolving from the WAVBC 2020 – 2023 Strategic Business. The key objective remains:

Increase cultural understanding between Western Australian and Vietnamese young professionals to create a legacy of sustainable friendships that both regions can build upon, well into the future

Engaging with West Australian Vietnamese communities was considered very important towards achieving the main objective and the Community Group are now committed to organising and managing a series of community events every year in Western Australia that will include a Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year event.
