Australia & Vietnam Celebrating 50 Years of Diplomatic Relationships

To kick off our 2023 Spring Series of Events, we are very pleased to welcome Ms Nguyen Thanh Ha –
Consul General of the S.R. of Viet Nam for Western Australia and Northern Territory to our event.
This year, Australia and Vietnam celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relationships. Ms Ha will provide
an overview of the current Australia / Vietnam and Western Australia / Vietnam diplomatic
relationships.
Following Ms Ha, Ms Vu Thi Ngoc Thao – Consul, will present current and upcoming trade and
investment opportunities for West Australian businesses in Vietnam.
The recent announcement of both Vietnam Airlines and VietJet starting direct flights to Hanoi and
Ho Chi Minh City has already sparked immediate interest from various business sectors in
Western Australia. WAVBC President David Morgan will provide a brief overview of the recent
WAVBC networking activities in Vietnam that will provide valuable ‘in-country’ support WAVBC
members.
Following the presentations, there will be one hour of networking, food & drinks.
